Journeys in Painting: Watercolors and Oil Paintings by Truman College Students

April 17, 2018

"JOURNEYS IN PAINTING"
TRUMAN COLLEGE PAINTING EXHIBITION AT THE HAITIAN AMERICAN MUSEUM OF CHICAGO

Oil paintings and watercolor paintings by Truman students will be on exhibit at the Haitian American Museum of Chicago at 4654 N Racine, May 1-10, 2018.  The paintings by Truman students in Oil Painting and Watercolor credit courses will cover a range of subject matter from landscape to figures to abstract, and represent each artist's "journey" into these thematic explorations. This exhibition represents an ongoing relationship between Truman College and the important cultural institutions in the community, and the embrace of the academic and cultural development of the residents of Uptown on the part of the HAMOC. A closing reception will be held at the museum on May 10, 12:00-1:00. For more information, contact Stephanie Roberts at 773 907 6112.
